At NYU Langone Health’s Perlmutter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµapp Center and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, we offer specialized medical care and tailored support services for adolescents and young adults, ages 15 to 39, who are dealing with blood cancer, neurologic cancer, or sarcoma. Our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµapp Program is one of the few programs in the region serving the unique needs of the New York metro area’s AYA community.

At a time in life when many young people are navigating school, work, relationships, and family, a cancer diagnosis creates added challenges. We created the AYA Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµapp Program to help you overcome obstacles, manage your care, and improve your overall patient-care experience.

While the AYA Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµapp Program focuses on quality of life, we also facilitate discussions among members of our pediatric and adult hematology and oncology teams to ensure the best treatment possible. We also expect to expand the program over time to include other disease areas and age groups.
Perlmutter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµapp Center and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital researchers and clinicians are actively involved in to bring evidence-based treatment innovations to our patients. Our program serves as a hub for learning more about current and upcoming cancer studies.
