At NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I am dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and groups through psychotherapy, with a particular focus on those experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I am certified in cognitive processing therapy for PTSD and have undergone advanced training in emotionally focused therapy for couples, allowing me to offer specialized and effective treatment approaches.

Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, and my role is to facilitate this journey, especially during life transitions and challenges such as pregnancy, parenthood, career difficulties, illness, and bereavement. I encourage patients to explore their inner worlds with curiosity and openness, nurturing a space where meaningful change can take place if they desire.

I am committed to helping patients cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others. My therapeutic approach is rooted in non-judgmental collaboration, focusing on empathy and validation. By employing evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral interventions and viewing issues through an attachment and relational lens, I strive to create impactful therapeutic experiences. In working with couples, I prioritize enhancing communication, strengthening connections, and addressing past relational wounds.

Recognizing the multifaceted nature of mental healthcare, I frequently collaborate with colleagues in the psychiatry department, valuing the interdisciplinary approach as crucial for comprehensive patient care. I have the privilege of working alongside outstanding professionals and experts, and I take great pride in supervising post-doctoral fellows within our clinic, fostering the next generation of clinical psychologists.

Through therapy, patients often find relief from symptoms, but beyond that, the aim is for them to gain insight, create meaning, and empower themselves to shape their own lives in the ways they see fit.
